I have the R11 and the R11 TP, October 24, 2011 By This review is from: TaylorMade R11 TP Driver (440cc) I've played the R11 for most of the Summer and just lucked my way into a new R11 TP Driver. Both have the Fuji Blur shaft in them, with the TP obviously being a little bit better of a shaft and while both are 'Stiff', I think the TP is actually more of an extra-stiff shaft.
As far as performance, the TP has little different from the regular R11. The only discernable difference I can tell is that the shaft has less flex and overall makes the club less forgiving than the regular model. Whereas I can hit the regular R11 pretty consistent down the fairway, I'm slicing the TP version a bit more than normal for me.
If you're a double-digit handicap, I would recommend against the TP, but would recommend the regular R11.
If you're sold on it, I'd put a new grip on it immediately. The stock grip on this is really bad, any moisture and it's like grease in your hands (even with the gloved hand).
